英法形近詞對比：Sensible

Sensible

今天的“假朋友”是法語的 sensible 和英語的 sensible。兩個詞拼法完全一樣，但意思卻完全不同。這是一對經典的“Faux amis”，小心上當哦！

例如：

Certaines cellules sont particulièrement sensible aux rayons infrarouges.
Some cells are especially sensitive to infra-red radiation.
某些細胞對紅外線很敏感。

Pour faire cette experience, il faut employer une balance très sensible[/b].
For this experiment it is necessary to use a very [b]sensitive balance.
做這個實驗，要用靈敏的（高精度的）天平。

Mon grand-père a l’ouïe (l’odorat) très sensible.
My grandfather has very sensitive/keen hearing (a very keen sense of smell).

Mon épaule est restée sensible longtemps après l’accident.
My shoulder remains sore/tender for a long time after the accident.
事故過去很久了，我的肩膀依然感到疼痛。

Why are you always so hard on her? You know she’s very sensitive.
你爲什麼這樣對待她？你知道她是很敏感的（感情很脆弱）。

Ce film est déconseillé aux personnes sensible.
This film is not recommended for people of a nervous disposition.
過於敏感的（神經脆弱的）人最好別看這個電影。（容易受刺激吧？ ^v^）

Réginald a toujours été sensible à la flatterie.
Reginald has always been succeptible to flattery.
Reginald這個人就喜歡別人奉承。(容易輕信別人的好話吧？^v^）

J’ai été très sensible à leurs témoignages de sympathie (à leurs paroles élogieuses).
I was very touched by their expression of sympathy (I very much appreciated their praise).
他們的慰問（讚揚）令我十分感動。

La difference de pression était à peine sensible.
The differene in pressure was hardly perceptible.
壓力的差別幾乎覺察不出來。

Nous pouvons nous attendre à une hausse sensible des taux d’intérêt.
We can expect an appreciable/a noticeable rise in interest rate.
可以預料，會大幅度升息。

Il fait sensiblement plus froid dans le nord du pays.
It’s distinctly/appreciably/quite a bit colder in the north of the country.
北方的天氣明顯冷很多。

卡羅琳和菲力普差不多一樣高。

Be sensible! You’ve only just learnt to drive and the roads are icy.
Sois raisonable! Tu sais à peine conduire et les routes sont verglacées.
理智些！你剛學會開車，路面又結冰了。

Her uncle gave her some very sensible advice but it was a waste of time.
Son oncle lui a donné des conseils très judicieux/sages/sensés mais ça n’a servi à rien.
她叔叔向她發出了理智的忠告，但她全當耳旁風了。

I wish I’d taken more sensible shoes (clothes) with me.
Je regrette de ne pas avoir emporté des chaussures (des vêtements) plus pratiques/commodes.
真該帶雙更實用的鞋來！（帶身更實用的衣服）

他很明智地拒絕了在如此高風險的項目中投入巨資。

They sensibly decided not to have a fourth child.
Ils ont pris la sage décision de ne pas avoir un quatrième enfant.
他們很明智地決定不要第四個孩子了。

Eric’s girlfriend wasn’t very sensibly dressed for a day in the country.
La petite amie d’Eric ne portrait pas des vêtements très adéquats/pratiques pour une journée à la campagne.
艾利克的女朋友穿成那個樣子去郊遊很不明智呀。（穿高跟鞋了吧？ ^v^）
