英法形近詞對比：法語mystifier和英語mystify

幾年前，法國發生過一件奇案：一個叫 Thierry Tilly 的法國人用心理操縱術控制了波爾多的一個貴族家庭長達9年。他謊稱 “共濟會”陰謀暗殺他們，不僅藉機侵吞了他們的百萬家財，還哄騙，脅迫他們逃亡英國，隱姓埋名，靠打工維生。

    當時的一則報紙標題說：
               Le gourou avait mystifié la famille de notables.
               欺詐大師哄騙/愚弄了一家名門望族。

     文中提到：“La psychologue qui l'a expertisé le décrit en « mystificateur ».”

     爲他作精神鑑定（expertiser）的心理學家把他描述爲“mystificateur”——利用別人的信任進行洗腦，心理操控，行騙的“欺詐師”。

      這種“大師”並不少見吧？童鞋們碰到過嗎？（搞傳銷的就算是吧？）
