英國喪偶男子扔漂流瓶尋找新戀情卻被批亂丟垃圾

A widower who sent out 2,000 romantic messages to sea in glass bottles was subjected to 'abuse' and 'hatred' by angry locals who accused him of littering.

一名將2000多條信息裝進玻璃瓶裏扔進海中的喪偶男士，於日前遭到了憤怒的當地人的“謾罵”和“仇視”，指責他亂扔垃圾。

Craig Sullivan, 49, started sending out his love messages after losing his wife to cancer 18 months ago.

今年49歲的克雷格·蘇利文，在妻子於一年半之前被癌症奪去了生命之後，就通過寫字條扔漂流瓶的方式尋找真愛。

He set off from his London home and travelled around to various British beaches to release them into the water.

But his romantic quest has been slammed by environmentalists after they found 30 bottles washed up on the picturesque Rhossili Bay in Swansea, Wales.

Walker Helen Gill, 36, picked the bottles from the sand before getting in touch with Mr Sullivan.

She said: 'I went for a beach walk and we came across about 30 glass bottles with lids. They had lots of messages inside about finding love and at first, I thought it was some sort of dating thing but then I looked on his website and I got the idea.'

'It's very romantic. But my friends are members of the Marine Conservation Society and they, and I, were very concerned about what it is doing to the environment.'

“He said he didn't expect that many to wash up at once, and that he expected the rest to get lost along the way. But they could have smashed and left broken glass on beaches, or animals in the water could get hurt. Everyone has been quite upset about the fact that it is littering.'
