　　　　　　　　　Fair Daffodils,we weep to see
　　　　　　　　　　　　You haste away so soon;

羅伯特-赫裏克（1591-1674），英國詩人，出生於倫敦，就讀於劍橋大學聖約翰學院，獲文學碩士學位。主要作品有詩集《赫斯帕裏迪斯》等。

在這首詩中，詩人以黃水仙凋謝得太快來感嘆人生匆忙而短暫，是一首典型的借物抒情的詩。詩句感情真摯，而郭沫若的翻譯，更是用豐富的漢語詞彙使這首詩的詞句更爲動聽。
