九年後杜蘭特親筆信
This has been by far the most challenging few weeks in my professional life.
這是我職業生涯迄今爲止最具挑戰性的幾個星期。I understood cognitively that I was facing a crossroads in my evolution as a player and as a man, and that it came with exceptionally difficult choices.
作爲一個球員，一個男人，我明白自己面臨着職業生涯發展的十字路口，這是一個很艱難的決定。What I didn’t truly understand, however, was the range of emotions I would feel during this process.

The primary mandate I had for myself in making this decision was to have it based on the potential for my growth as a player — as that has always steered me in the right direction.
我做這個決定主要是基於我作爲一個球員的未來發展，它一直引領着我朝着正確的方向（前行）。But I am also at a point in my life where it is of equal importance to find an opportunity that encourages my evolution as a man: moving out of my comfort zone to a new city and community which offers the greatest potential for my contribution and personal growth.
同樣，我也面臨着自己生活中一個自我發展的重要時刻，這個時刻同樣很重要，去尋找一個機會鼓舞我作爲一個男人去發展：走出自己的舒適區，前往一個能讓我的貢獻和個人發展發揮到最大化的新的城市和集體，With this in mind, I have decided that I am going to join the Golden State warriors.
考慮到這一點，我已經決定，我要加盟金州勇士隊。I’m from Washington, D.C. originally, but Oklahoma City truly raised me.

There are no words to express what the organization and the community mean to me, and what they will represent in my life and in my heart forever.

這些無價的關係是我選擇離開的決定中最艱難的挑戰。It really pains me to know that I will disappoint so many people with this choice, but I believe I am doing what I feel is the right thing at this point in my life and my playing career.
