當前世界經濟增長乏力，這是我們中外學者都同意的一致看法。但是出席今天研討會的一位外國經濟學家稱，這是由於中國增長放緩，需求不足而造成的。他甚至說，中國經濟感冒了，世界經濟就得病了。我的看法正相反，正是由於中國經濟仍保持了強勁的增長，世界經濟纔沒有出現負增長。
Recently, there has been a view widely shared by the academics home and abroad that the global economy growth is sluggish. However, one econo-mist at this symposium claims that this is caused by China’s slower growth, which results in fewer demands. He even believed that the world economy will become ill when China’s economy catches a cold. I hold an opposite opinion with him as I believe China’s robust growth prevents the world economy from seeing negative growth.

In the five years between 2009 and 2014, china contributed to 30% of the world’s economic growth, higher than the United States who gives 18%. The total volume of China’s economy is over ten trillion U.S dollars and ranks the 2nd in the world. Last year, China’s economy scored a 7% growth. This figure means its net increase is greater than the GDP of Spain, the 17th largest economy in the world. The strong growth boosts the high-speed increase in China’s foreign trade as well as the global trade.
點評：凡是涉及到數字增長的內容說法都比較豐富，“exceed””top” “increase”等等，一定要在翻譯時有效地交替使用，增加譯文的地道性。而排第幾說法也很豐富，既可以用rank也可以說成第幾大。
2014年，我國進出口總額達到了4.3萬億美元，佔全球貿易額的12%，這使中國成爲全球第一大貿易國。同一年，中國的進口額達到了2.34萬億美元，超過了出口。這是中國在國際市場需求強勁的重要標誌，中國已成爲120多個國家的最大貿易伙伴。中國的進口從電腦芯片、原油、飛機到大豆、食品和葡萄酒,都極大刺激了這些國家的出口.
In 2014, China’s total import and export volume stood at 4.3 trillion US dollars, accounting for 12% of that of the world. This has made China the largest trading nation. Also in 2014, China has a total import of 2.34 trillion US dollars, an indicator of China’s great demand in the international market. China is the trading partner of more than 120 countries. Its imported goods ranges from computer chips to crude oil, planes to soya beans, food to wine, providing great stimulation to the countries’ export.

In 2014, China’s foreign direct investment amounted to 12.3 billion US dollars, a record-breaking growth of 14% over the same period last year. China’s FDI ranked the third in the world for 3 consecutive years. The FDI, creating several million jobs for the host countries, is another important contribution China made for the world economic recovery. In recent years, there has been a explosion of the numbers of Chinese people traveling overseas. This has also greatly prompted the development of the local economy. Last year, the outbound Chinese tourists topped 100 million people, which is also NO.1 in the world. For three years in a roll, the amount of the consumption of the Chinese tourist ranks the first in the world, accounting for 11 percent of the world total tourism revenue. All of these indicate that China has become the most important driving force for the global economic growth. This is a fact that no one can afford to overlook.
