A woman's four-year-old tweets may just have helped KFC revamp its fries, after she bemoaned the quality of chips in the fast food chain.

一位女士在抱怨過肯德基這一快餐零售店的薯條質量以後,她四年前發的這條推文,改變了肯德基薯條。

Charlie Burness, 30, from London, was buying her mother a meal from the fast food chain for her birthday in August 2014, but was left disappointed by its potato side.

來自倫敦的Charlie Burness現年30歲,在2014年的8月份買了一份肯德基餐來慶祝其母親的是生日,可是薯條的口感讓她很失望。

Taking to the social network at the time, she wrote: 'I've got to say, KFC are riding solely on their chicken because Christ, those are cr** fries.'

And four years on the chicken shop contacted the diner to let her know it had overhauled its fries recipe.

She told Newsbeat: 'I thought it was quite clever actually.

And KFC took to comments over the weekend to confirm it had released a new type of fries to their UK chains.

In a clever marketing ploy the fast food joint had posters printed with tweets from those who had criticized its chips.

One featured a tweet from user Upgrade_music and read: 'Dear KFC, no one likes your fries. Yours sincerely, the entire world.'

The tweet has already received 3,500 favorites, almost a thousand retweets and hundreds of comments from excited fans praising the move.

The restaurant described its new chips as chunkier, and 'made from spuds with the skin left on'.

肯德基表示請款的薯條更粗,是用留着皮的土豆做的。

Jack Hinchliffe, innovation director at KFC UK & Ireland said: 'We don't change things on a whim - the Colonel's Original Recipe chicken hasn't changed since he finalized it in 1940.'This was different though. We heard the nation's outcry. We read the brutal tweets. We had to step up our fries game.
