與巴黎恐襲有關的ISIS頭目在美空襲中喪生

A Syria-based Isis leader with links to one of the miltants involved in last Month’s Paris attacks has been killed in a US-led airstrike, a spokesman for the international coalition fighting the Islamist group said on Tuesday.

打擊ISIS的國際聯盟的一名發言人週二表示，與上月發起巴黎恐襲的激進分子之一有牽連的一名ISIS頭目在美國領頭的空襲中喪生，此人生前以敘利亞爲大本營。

The dead man was named as Charaffe al-Mouadan, who the US said was linked to Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the alleged leader of the Paris attack cell.

這名喪生的男子名叫沙拉非穆瓦丹(Charaffe al-Mouadan)，美方表示他與巴黎襲擊小組據稱的頭目阿卜杜勒哈米德阿巴伍德(Abdelhamid Abaaoud)有關。

Mouadan was killed on December 24 and had been planning attacks against the west, said Colonel Steve Warren, a spokesman for Operation Inherent Resolve, the US military operation against Isis. He was among 10 Isis leaders killed in airstrikes over the past month.

“We will hunt [Isis] leaders working to inspire attacks against US and our allies,” Col Warren said on his Twitter feed.

Among the other Isis members killed in airstrikes was Abdel Kader Hakim, a veteran fighter and forgery specialist who also had links to the Paris attack network, the US said.

In a briefing, Colonel Warren said: “We are striking at the head of this snake. We haven’t severed the head of this snake yet and it still has got fangs - we have to be clear about that. There is much more fighting to do.”
