一言不合就調軍隊! 普京當面霸氣警告芬蘭總統!

Vladimir Putin came to Finland with a handshake for his counterpart, President Salui Niinisto – and a warning that Moscow will respond if his host country joins NATO.

弗拉基米爾·普京日前在與芬蘭總統紹利·尼尼斯托的會面中當場警告，如果芬蘭加入北約，俄方將採取行動。

Finland and neighbouring Sweden have increased cooperation with the Western military alliance since Russia's annexation of Crimea and its backing for separatist rebels in eastern Ukraine. This was Putin's first visit to Finland since those crises erupted in 2014.

在俄方兼併克里米亞和支持烏克蘭東部分裂派以來，芬蘭以及鄰國瑞典與西方軍事聯盟國的合作就在不斷增加。此次是自2014年這些事件爆發以來，普京首次出訪芬蘭。

He said Russia would respect Finland's decision if it decided to join NATO, but would respond.

普京表示，俄方將尊重芬蘭的決定，但是如果芬蘭加入北約，俄方也將採取行動。

"What do you think we will do in this situation? We moved our forces back, 1500 kilometres away – will we keep our forces there? " the Russian president said during a joint outdoor news conference.

這位俄羅斯總統在聯合新聞發佈會上說到："你認爲在這種形勢下俄方將如何應對？目前我們後撤了1500公里，但如果芬蘭加入北約我們還會把部隊放在那裏嗎？"

"How they assure the safety and independence of their own country is the Finns' choice. Undoubtedly we appreciate Finland's neutral status,"

"如何確保國家安全和獨立是芬蘭人民自己的選擇。毋庸置疑的是，我們會尊重芬蘭的中立地位。"

The presidents' meeting at Naantali comes amid increased Russian and NATO activity in the Baltic region. Finland is militarily neutral but interest in the possibility of joining the alliance has been rising.

雙方領導人本次是在芬蘭的納坦利進行的會晤，這段期間俄羅斯與北約在波羅的海地區的活動日趨頻繁。芬蘭在軍事層面一直中立，但是最近加入北約的呼聲卻越來越高。

The Baltic Sea has been the arena for a series of close encounters between Russian and Western aircraft in recent months. The Russian and Finnish presidents agreed to draw up security measures to control flights in the area.

近幾個月來，波羅的海區域發生了多起俄羅斯與北約軍機的擦槍走火事件。俄羅斯與芬蘭雙方領導人已經就制定安保措施、管控地區航空達成一致。
