不再有鐵飯碗No More Iron Rice Bowls
公司是不是應該繼續爲了生活而提供工作或者說這種做法已經過時了嗎？就我個人而言，我承認爲生活而工作與第二十一個世紀興旺的生意不一致。
Admittedly, staff will feel less pressured and more secure if they are guaranteed a job for life. Instead of feeling anxious regarding a future fraught with uncertainly, employees can still rely on their job even if other things go awry. However, the ultimate goal of any business enterprise—maximizes the profit—renders this type of job obsolete. First, in order to improve productivity, companies have to dismiss workers who are less competent or less industrious. Otherwise, retaining staff that are not qualified or cannot meet the standards is detrimental to business. Furthermore, since no jobs are provided for life, employees who are ambitious and hard-working will naturally be motivated to achieve excellence. In addition, the ubiquitous sense of competition also makes permanent jobs outmoded. Although life-long positions are offered occasionally to commend individuals who have made a major contribution, in most circumstances, contracts are drawn on a yearly basis.
誠然，如果員工有爲生活作保障的工作，員工會感到壓力更少和更安全。而不是感覺焦慮對未來充滿不確定性，即使其他事情出差錯，員工仍然可以依靠他們的工作。然而，最終的目標任何企業最大的利潤呈現這類工作過時。第一，爲了提高生產率，公司不得不解僱不稱職或不勤勞的員工。否則，留住不合格或不符合標準的員工不利於發展業務。此外，由於沒有爲生活所提供的工作，那些雄心勃勃和勤奮的員工自然會主動追求卓越。此外，競爭無處不在的感覺也可能永久性的工作過時。雖然終身職位偶爾表揚做出了重大貢獻的個人，但是在大多數情況下，合同要以每一年爲基礎。
In the final analysis, I believe that the diminishing of permanent jobs is inevitable and this is actually advantageous for societal progress.
在最後的分析中，我認爲減少永久性的工作是不可避免的，這實際上是有利於社會進步。
