China's consumer inflation eased for a third straight month and hit an 11-year low in October as food Prices tumbled, official data showed Tuesday.

11月10日公佈的官方數據顯示，隨着食品價格下跌，10月份全國居民消費價格指數(CPI)連續第三個月回落，並創下近11年來的新低。

The consumer price index rose 0.5% year-on-year last month, narrowing from the 1.7% rise in September, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics.

國家統計局公佈的數據顯示，10月CPI同比上漲0.5%，漲幅比9月回落1.2個百分點。

On a monthly basis, consumer prices dropped 0.3%. Food prices went down 1.8% last month.

從環比看，CPI下降0.3%，食品價格下降1.8%。

Dong Lijuan, a senior statistician at NBS, attributed the tamed inflation to the drop in food prices, especially eggs, vegetables and pork.

國家統計局高級統計師董麗娟表示，當前CPI同比下降幅度更大，主要是由於食品價格下跌，特別是雞蛋、蔬菜和豬肉價格。

Prices of eggs and vegetables dropped 2.3% and 2.1%, respectively, from September amid abundant supply.

Pork prices fell 7% last month, a further decline of 5.4 percentage points from September.

10月豬肉價格環比下降7%，降幅比上月擴大5.4個百分點。

On a yearly basis, the price of pork fell for the first time after growing for 19 consecutive months, dropping 2.8%.

同比來看，豬肉價格在連續上漲19個月後首次轉降，下降2.8%。
