拜登擬提名耶倫任財長

US President-elect Joe Biden on Monday unveiled his economic team, nominating Janet Yellen, former Federal Reserve chair, to lead the Treasury Department.

美國當選總統拜登11月30日宣佈了幾名新一屆政府最高經濟職位的提名，擬提名美聯儲前主席珍妮特·耶倫出任財政部長。

If confirmed by the Senate, Yellen would be the first woman to serve as US treasury secretary in the department's 231 years of history. She would also be the first person to have served as treasury secretary, chair of the Council of Economic Advisers, and chair of the Federal Reserve.

如果提名獲參議院通過，耶倫不僅將成爲美國財政部231年來首位女財長，而且將是美國首位擁有財政部長、白宮經濟顧問委員會主席和美聯儲主席任職經歷的官員。

The president-elect also selected Wally Adeyemo, president of the Obama Foundation, as deputy secretary of the Treasury.

目前擔任奧巴馬基金會主席的沃利·阿德耶莫獲財政部副部長提名。

If confirmed, Adeyemo would be the first Black deputy secretary of the Treasury.

他有望成爲美國首位非裔財政部副部長。

Biden also selected Neera Tanden, who currently serves as president and CEO of the Center for American Progress, as director of the Office of Management and Budget, and named Cecilia Rouse, dean of the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, to lead the White House Council of Economic Advisers.

拜登還提名尼拉·坦登擔任白宮預算管理辦公室主任，她目前擔任美國進步中心的總裁兼首席執行官；提名塞西莉亞·羅斯擔任白宮經濟顧問委員會主席。她目前擔任普林斯頓大學公共與國際事務學院院長。
