含冤入獄23年 陳滿獲275萬元國家賠償
A man wrongfully jailed for 23 years on murder and arson charges was granted more than 2.75 million yuan ($421,850) in compensation from the State on last Friday, according to the High People's Court of Hainan Province.
據海南省高級人民法院透露，一名男子曾因殺人縱火罪而含冤入獄23年，上週五法院判定，將由國家對其支付不少於275萬人民幣（約合42萬1850美元）的賠償金。Chen Man, now 53, was released in February due to insufficient evidence by the High People's Court of Zhejiang Province after a series of appeals going as far as the Supreme People's Court.
今年53歲的陳滿因證據不足，在二月份的時候由浙江省高級人民法院宣佈無罪釋放。在這場判決前，他曾爲自己提起多次無罪上訴，甚至曾上訴到最高人民法院。Chen had served the longest jail term for a wrongful conviction known in China, and also has received the greatest amount of State compensation for wrongful conviction so far, Wang Wanqiong, Chen's attorney, told the Global Times.
陳滿的律師王萬瓊接受《環球時報》採訪時表示，陳滿是中國目前已知的含冤入獄時間最長的人，同時也是因錯判而獲得國家賠償金最多的人。
The 2.75 million yuan compensation contains more than 1.85 million yuan for loss of personal freedom and 900,000 yuan for psychological trauma, the High People's Court of Hainan Province said on its official Weibo account.
據海南省高級人民法院在其官方微博上表示，在這筆總共275萬的賠償金中，包括185萬人身自由賠償金，以及90萬的精神創傷補償。Wang said that she and Chen accepted the amount though they were still unsatisfied. Chen initially demanded 9.66 million yuan in compensation after he was released.
王萬瓊表示，儘管她和陳滿仍然對判決感到不滿意，但他們接受這筆賠償金。在被無罪釋放後，陳滿最開始要求得到總共966萬的賠償金。"Chen and his family have no time to continue the struggle for compensation considering that Chen has lost two decades of his life and his parents are getting older," Wang said.
王萬瓊說：“陳滿和他的家人沒有時間來繼續要求更多的賠償金了，因爲陳滿已經失去了20多年的光陰，而他的父母們都在變老。”Chen was arrested in 1992 and sentenced to death with a two year reprieve. The local procuratorate deemed the sentence "too light" and called for Chen to be executed. The request was rejected by Hainan High People's Court in 1999, beginning Chen's 16-year appeal ordeal, the Xinhua News Agency reported.

Nian Bin, who was sentenced to death for four times and spent eight years behind bars for murder, received 1.14 million yuan in compensation in 2015.
