Daphne lost her makeup bag at the airport and she want to pick up a few cosmetics did she buy？

John：I'm hungry. Let's go grab a bite to eat.

Daphne：Yeah, me too. Oh! Can we stop at the shop really fast? I lost my makeup bag at the airport and I want to pick up a few things.

John：Will you take long?

Daphne：No! Five minutes I promise!

John：Come on! We have been here for almost an hour! I thought you said you were only going to get a few things! How long does it take you to pick out a lipstick and some nail polish!

Daphne：Are you crazy? You have no idea what you are talking about! Just for my eyes I have to get eyeliner, an eyelash curler, eye shadow, an eyebrow pencil and mascara. Then I need to get foundation, liquid foundation.
（你有病吧？我不知道你在說什麼！我就買一點眼妝用品，眼線筆，睫毛夾，眼影，眉筆和睫毛膏就好了。然後再買點底妝用品，粉底液什麼的。）
John：Whoa, whoa, whoa! Are you nuts? How much is all this going to cost? I'm looking at the price of each one of these little things and it's outrageous! This is basically a crayon!
（喂喂喂！你瘋了嗎？這麼多東西加起來要多少錢？我看看這些東西的價格都離譜的要死！這不就和蠟筆一樣嘛？）
Daphne：What about you? You spend as much or more money on your razors,after-shave, cologne and gel! Not to mention how much you spend on clothes and...

John：Fine! Get the stupid thirty dollar crayon!

語言剖析

1. I want to pick up a few things.

pick up還有一個意思表示買東西，還記得在買咖啡哪一節課中pick me up a cappuccino嗎？Pick up也表示買東西，意思是幫我買一杯卡普奇諾

2. Will you take long？
Will you take long？ 要花很長時間嗎？
演講比賽快要開始了，你的朋友竟然忘了帶U盤，要回宿舍拿？這時候你就可以驚訝的說，What？Will you take long？什麼？要花很長時間嗎？

3. You have no idea what you are talking about!
have no idea 知道
我不知道除了用I don’t know還可以說I have no idea. What happened？I have no idea.
也可以用I got no clue.來表示我不知道，clue的意思是線索，I got no clue.我毫無頭緒，我不知道，語氣更強一些也可以用問句Who knows？來表示我不知道

4. Are you nuts？
Are you nuts？ 你瘋了嗎？

5. It's outrageous!
It's outrageous! 太離譜了！
It's outrageous! This dish costs me 1000 thousand 's outrageous!
這盤菜竟然收我1000塊，太離譜了！
