Size of ellipse having been determined, focuses are found by measuring off the short diameter(or width of ellipse) form ends of long diameter(or length of ellipse). Two pins should be fixed, and string or thread looped round, as shown in picture, Length of loop should be from A to B.
確定想要畫出的橢圓的大小後，通過測量橢圓的短軸和長軸確定出橢圓的焦點位置。將兩枚細針固定在焦點的位置上，如圖所示，讓細繩或細線繞出一個圈。繩圈的長度即A點到B點的距離。
