The New York Public Library has digitized 100 "how to do it" cards found in cigarette boxes over 100 years ago, and the tips they give are so practical that millennials reading this might want to take notes.
紐約公共圖書館將一組100多年前的香菸盒上的“生活妙招”卡片進行了數字化處理，這些卡片上的小貼士實在太實用了，二十一世紀的我們看到了也會多加留意！

The picture shows a very effective method.
圖中所示的方法非常有效。

Painting should first be well dusted and then rubbed gently with flat surface of a cut raw potato, the lather being wiped away with a soft rag.
首先將油畫上的灰塵打掃乾淨，然後把生土豆切下一小塊，用光滑的切面輕輕擦拭油畫，用柔軟的布條將擦拭產生的碎末擦乾淨。

Dirty part of potato must constantly be pared off in order to keep clean the surface applied to picture.
接觸畫面的土豆切面變髒後就要切掉，不斷重複這個動作，保證接觸畫面的部分潔淨。

Finish off with a rub of pine linseed oil.
最後用亞麻籽油擦一下畫布。
