歷經136年 西班牙聖家堂終於取得建築許可

Barcelona's famous Sagrada de Familia is finally set to get a building license, 136 years after work on the still uncompleted church began.

巴塞羅那著名建築聖家堂終於要取得建築許可了，此時距離其開建已經過去了136年，而且該建築目前仍未完工。

Construction on the UNESCO World Heritage basilica, which is Barcelona's most visited tourist attraction, began way back in 1882 based on a design by architect Francisco.

聖家堂是聯合國教科文組織世界遺產地，也是巴塞羅那遊客最多的旅遊景點。這座教堂於1882年動工，最初是基於建築師弗朗西斯科的設計理念。

However, when he resigned, architect Antoni Gaudi took over the design in 1883.

不過在他辭職後，備受敬仰的建築家安東尼奧·高迪於1883年接手該建築的設計工作。

The building won't be finished until 2026 -- 100 years after the revered architect was killed by a tram in the city.

後來，高迪被城內的有軌電車撞死，而這棟建築要等到高迪死後100年，即2026年才能完工。

The unfinished monument is hailed as a masterpiece of Gothic architecture -- by most -- and it is perhaps the most unique and enigmatic building in the style ever constructed.

The church's troubles didn't end with Gaudi's untimely death, the construction process was severely hampered by the Spanish civil war and saw the building attacked by anarchists.

這座教堂的麻煩並沒有隨着高迪的英年早逝而結束，西班牙內戰嚴重阻礙了施工進程，建築本身還遭到了無政府主義者的洗劫。
