倒黴新娘:婚禮被迫取消十次

It is the biggest day of a girl's life, and often takes over a year to arrange. But Nicky Pretty from the UK was forced to cancel her wedding plans ten times before finally walking down the aisle.

對每個女孩來說，一生中最重要的日子莫過於結婚的那一天。很多人甚至會花上一年的時間去準備婚禮慶典。但是，來自英國的妮奇 布萊迪卻在踏上紅地毯前，一波十折，被迫取消婚禮十次。

According to the Daily Mail on January 25, Pretty, 41, from Bournemouth, UK, was first due to marry fiancé Trevor, three years ago, but a series of disasters prevented the couple from actually tying the knot. The pair called off their first wedding in Cyprus in 2008 because Nicky's brother and sister did not want to take their babies abroad.

來自英國伯恩茅斯的布萊迪第一次和未婚夫特雷弗籌備婚禮是在三年前，但是一系列的波折讓這對新人未能“修成正果”。2008年，因爲妮奇的兄弟姐妹不願意把自己的孩子帶出國，這對準新人被迫取消了婚禮。

Failed attempts included cancelling a home wedding after neighbors complained it would be too noisy. The couple were also forced to scrap plans to marry on a boat because the tide was out, and had to abandon plans to marry on a picturesque island off Fiji. One of Pretty's wedding cancellations was because their reception venue had been doubled booked.

有了第一次，以後的N次就接踵而來了。有一次是家庭婚禮，因爲鄰居投訴太吵，婚禮中途取消。另外一次，因爲退潮，這對準新人被迫取消了在船上舉行婚禮的計劃，錯過了斐濟某風景如畫的島上婚禮。更離譜的一次是，舉行婚禮的酒店被重訂了兩次，他們不得不重新擇日結婚。

The couple finally married last month in Edinburgh. "I was so upset we made a pact not to talk about getting married any more as I kept bursting into tears. When we finally said our vows it was perfect," said Pretty.

上個月，這對情侶終於如願以償在愛丁堡舉行婚禮。布萊迪說：“我曾經非常難過。我們也說好再也不提結婚這檔子事，當時我放聲大哭。但是最後我們終於結婚了，宣誓的感覺太奇妙了”。
