英國最古老電視機亮相 已有75年曆史
Built in 1936, the Marconi type-702 has been crowned the oldest working television set in Britain. With a 12-inch screen contained in a walnut and mahogany case, the 75-year-old set was bought for 100 pounds only three weeks after transmissions in Britain began, and had one channel broadcasting for two hours a day. Now the TV has a pre-sale estimate of 5,000 pounds, but experts expect it to fetch much more.
一臺製造於1936年的“馬克尼702型”電視機日前成爲英國最早的可使用電視機。這臺老古董已有75歲，顯示屏12英寸，嵌在胡桃木桃花心木製成的匣子內。它早在英國開始播放電視節目的3周後被人以100英鎊的價格買下，當時只能收到一個頻道，每天只播出2個小時。如今，這臺電視的拍賣預估價是5000英鎊，但專家稱實際拍價可能會更高。
