今天我們要講的第三個習慣用語是：soft touch。Touch這個詞最普遍的意思是用身體的某個部分，一般是用手指去觸摸某樣東西，看看它的感覺是什麼樣的。但是touch和soft合在一起作爲一個習慣用語，它的意思就不同了。Soft touch指的是一個很容易被某人說服去做某件事的人。

我們來舉個例子。Freddie正努力攢錢來償付他的欠債。例句裏說話的人正在替Freddie出主意。他說：

例句-3：Freddie, why don't you tell our friend Bill you are in trouble with people you owe andask him to loan you the money. He has a good heart and he is a soft touch for people in a tightspot. He knows you will pay him back as soon as you can.

注意這個句子裏還有一個很有用的詞組：to be in a tight spot。Tight就是很緊;spot在這裏就是指在一個地方。在很緊的地方也就是動不了、沒有活動的餘地，那就是處境困難。
