英政府擬調整隔離要求

The British government is looking at reducing the time people have to self-isolate if they come into contact with someone with COVID-19 from the current 14 days through the use of a new testing regime, Health Secretary Matt Hancock said on Monday.

英國衛生大臣漢考克11月23日表示，英國政府正考慮縮短對新冠確診病例密切接觸者的14天自我隔離要求，以新的檢測方案取而代之。

"We're piloting a process, using these new tests that we have, to allow people to take a test every single day instead of having to isolate for that period so that it picks up if you're positive even before you have symptoms," he told Sky News.

漢考克向天空新聞表示：“我們正利用已有的新的檢測手段展開試點，用每天檢測的方法取代14天隔離期。這樣的話，在症狀出現之前就能提前甄別新冠感染者。”

He said the scheme was being piloted this week and if successful, would be rolled out among health and social care staff and then in the new year more broadly.

漢考克表示，新方案本週試點，成功的話將很快在衛生和社會護理人員中展開，明年將在更大範圍人羣內鋪開。

According to The Times, England will introduce a new system on Dec 15 allowing passengers arriving from high-risk countries to take a COVID-19 test after five days of quarantine and to be released from any further self-isolation if they test negative.

另據《泰晤士報》報道，自12月15日起，來自高風險國家的赴英格蘭旅客如在入境隔離第5天新冠病毒檢測結果爲陰性，將提前結束隔離期。
