Whenever banks are mentioned in China， it is natural to be associated with the People’s Bank of China. This is because its branches can be found in the cities in this country， and this bank is comMonly known as the leading body of the Chinese banking system which includes state commercial banks such as the Agricultural Bank of China， Bank of China， the Construction Bank of China， the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China， Bank of Communications， and other banking institutions.

在中國，人們一提到銀行，就自然而然地和中國人民銀行聯繫起來。這是因爲它的分支機構在全國的各城市都能找到，通常被認爲是包括國有商業銀行，比如中國農業銀行、中國銀行、中國建設銀行、中國工商銀行、交通銀行，以及其它金融機構在內的中國金融體系的主管部門。

But what is a bank then? It may be advisable to define a bank as an institution for doing financial work. Here， each specialized bank has its own business activities，but there are two basic functions in common.

那麼，什麼是銀行?將銀行解釋爲辦理金融業務的機構可能是較爲恰當的。這裏，每家專業銀行都有各自的業務範圍，但一般有兩項基本職能。

One is to accept deposits of money from customers; The other is to make loans to the customers who wish

to borrow. With the continuous development of China’s economy and trade， especially after the country has opened to the

outside world， banks will be playing more and more important role in our lives.

二是向那些想借款的客戶發放貸款。

隨着中國經濟和貿易的持續發展，尤其是對外開放以後，銀行將會在我們的生活中發揮越來越重要的作用。

中國人民銀行英語考試筆試題

終於央行的求職歷程(11月9日---12月5日，2009)，今天可以打住了，雖然有些感傷，死在了筆試的路上，覺得最對不起的不是自己，而是姐姐及爸爸的信任，此時我不知道怎麼向她訴說這個消息，好像默默的把它吞在心裏，燒烤着我吧!但是在應屆生上得到了這麼多求職幫助，我也想把自己的感想寫下來，供大家分享，祝福那些已通過筆試的同學也能順利通過面試，沒有過的同學也不要泄氣，我們還有機會奮鬥的!

時間：am，10：00-----12：00，2009年12月5日 ;共計五大題;考試地點：福師大旗山校區，報考單位：廣東河源支行，審覈通過：77人。

今年有2100多號人，聚在那裏，不說別的，就是這個考生就讓你感覺有震撼的。(當時還有現場一些“警察”)當然，核心要說是考試題目：很多考題是和銀行業務相關的英語表述，如果平時沒有接觸的話，估計很難能在這次考試中有輕鬆的感覺，所以我覺得有些慌，我用了110分鐘。這個考題和去年的相差很大，但總體上說來今年英語類考試具體如下：

一， 單選題，10道。

記得題目有:

存款保證金是按什麼標準收取的(儲蓄資產，商行總資產，…..)

C...M，評級標準的是(1， AAAA， 1 level，standing)

央行現代職能是從什麼時候開始的(1986，1984，1985，…)

外匯預期下降，會產生什麼樣的結果

商業銀行不能從事的業務(credit, treasure bonds,…..)

實物交易不要的是(golden, printed currency,…..)

其他的不知道了，“…..”表示記不清楚了，你可以參考一下，其他的同學的回憶吧，

二， 完型填空，20道。

主要說是關於全球溫室效應(warming)的研究方法的演變，文章整體難度不大，看2篇基本能懂 ，只是選一個恰當的詞填空，確實有些耗時間。

三， 閱讀，4篇。

前兩篇是說明文，第一篇是：人類與機器人的發展演變，較爲簡單。

第二篇，好像忘記了。(感覺有點像2005年的研究生入學考試題的完型填空改編的)

第三篇，說的是經濟學中的逆向選擇：一種是行爲上的，一種是道德上。

第四篇，說的整個經濟環境的衰退對銀團貸款的影響。

四，翻譯，2部分。

第一篇， 英譯漢，說的futures(期貨)合同的訂立需要在清算中心的參與完成，這樣才能保證，合同的雙方的權益。

第二篇， 漢譯英，說的信用社的起源及基本內容。很簡單，知道一些專有名字，翻譯也就不成問題了。

五， 作文，整個試卷最簡單的部分了，120字，論述電腦是好還是壞。

PS:

第二天，就能知道筆試結果了，但是隻有過與不過，沒有成績。英語專業招的最少，全省不到29人蔘考;

一般一個單位只招一個英語的，所以很難保證你是否進如面試，不同聽說好像是說1：5的比例面試的，也就是說如果你考不到前五名，那麼進入面試的機會也就很少了;

考前準備，也不是沒有方向可行，多瞭解中英文金融基礎知識，絕對對你考試有幫助的，而非往年說的像高考題一樣的，考一些基礎語法。自己去衡量吧，你進入的是銀行，而非只是英語本身而與;

所以，我這次夢想破滅了，只能把希望放在中銀和招商的了，這次一定要認真準備了。不然又是浪費一個機會了!
