菲菲：我知道。她一直冷落我。這就是我買這條羊毛披肩送她的原因。Rob: Feifei, you do know there's a difference between Lisa's shoulders being cold because it's winter and her 'giving you the cold shoulder', don't you? You can't just warm her shoulders and be friends again.
羅布：菲菲，你知道因爲天冷莉薩的肩膀會涼和她冷落你之間的區別吧？只是讓她的肩膀感到溫暖並不能讓你們再做回朋友。Feifei: Yes, I do. In English, someone giving you the cold shoulder means they're behaving in a way that is not friendly at all and they're doing it for no obvious reason.
菲菲：我知道。在英語中，某人giving you the cold shoulder的意思是他們用完全不友善的方式對待你，顯然他們這麼做並沒有什麼理由。Rob: Yes. It means they are rejecting you or ignoring you. And 'give the cold shoulder' is today's expression in The English We Speak.
