【地道短語】the shot in the arm
【解詞釋義】此習語源於20世紀20年代吸毒者所用的俚語。Shot原意爲“注射”,最初該語是指“麻醉劑下的注射”。現在該語常用語口語,比喻指“興奮劑,刺激物,激勵”,常與“get, have, give”等詞連用。有時候可以翻譯爲中文中的“強行鍼”。
