1. 解詞釋義

Jump是“跳”的意思,to jump right out of one’s skin直接翻譯就是“從某人的皮膚裏跳出來”。這當然不可能發生的事情。實際上,to jump right out of one’s skin就是指“被一個突然發生的事情或者是未預料的危險嚇了一大跳”。此外,這個短語也有可以表示“使某人驚喜”。對話中“I almost jumped right out of my skin.”的意思就是“我真是驚喜萬分”。
