shake in one’s shoes

1. 解詞釋義

該習語用來形容人哆嗦,顫抖的樣子,喻指人嚇得發抖。

2. 支持範例

He was shaking in his shoes as the large dog moved towards him.

當那隻狗向他走來時,他嚇得直打哆嗦。

The thief shook in his shoes when he saw the policeman.
