stay the course 堅持到底

【講解】

course的本義是“流程，過程，路線”；stay the course的意思即是“持續到底”，喻指做亊不顧艱難，堅持到底。例如:I don’t think he is sufficiently dedicated to staying the course.（我認爲他不夠堅定，不會堅持到底的。）

A:The teacher told my father that he was not to be a soldier when he was young, but he stayed the course, and finally became an officer.

A:爸爸小的時候，老師告訴她，他不適合當一名軍人，但他仍能堅持不懈努力到底，最後終於成了一名軍官。
