那些年學校沒教會我們的事兒大綱

Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it. 規則1：人生不公，泰然處之。

Rule 2: The world won't care about your self-esteem. The worldwill expect you to accomplish something before you feel good about yourself. 規則2：世界並不在意個人自尊。自我陶醉前，它冀望你能先有所成就。

Rule 3: You will NOT make 40 thousand dollars a year right out of high school. You won't be avice-president with a car phone, until you earn both. 規則3：高中一畢業就想一蹴而就，坐擁4萬年薪，這是不切實際的。你也不可能搖身一變成爲副總，享有攜帶電話的轎車，這都得靠你自己打拼而來。

Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait until you get a boss. He doesn't have tenure. 規則4：如果你覺得你的老師十分苛刻嚴厲，那麼等着瞧你的老闆吧。老闆可沒有任期限制。

Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different word forburger flipping - they called it opportunity. 規則5：君子並非定要遠庖廚，做漢堡也不意味着折損尊嚴。你的祖父母對之另有解釋，他們將之稱爲機遇。Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn fromthem. 規則6：你的一敗塗地與父母無尤，不要喋喋不休的抱怨個不停，應該汲取教訓，從中獲益。

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got thatway from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you , before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parents' generation, try delousingthe closet in your own room. 規則7：在你出生前，你父母的生活還未像現在這般勞心勞力，單調無趣。現在，他們得憂心你的賬單，爲你洗衣打掃，聆聽你對自己的誇誇其談，洋洋得意，他們的生活變得枯燥乏味。在你雄心壯志的想要救萬民於水火之前，先整理乾淨房間裏的衣櫃，一屋不掃何以掃天下。

Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers but life has not. In some schoolsthey have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as many times as you want to get the rightanswer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life. 規則8：學校不以成敗論英雄，生活卻並非如此。一些學校廢除不及格制，給予學生充足的時間找尋正確答案。這與現實生活截然不同。

Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers areinterested in helping you find yourself. Do that on your own time. 規則9：生活不分學期，沒有暑假，很少有老闆有興趣幫你找尋自我。自己動手豐衣足食吧！

Rule 10: Television is NOT real life (nor are video games). In real life people actually have to leavethe coffee shop and go to jobs. 規則10：電視上演的與真實生活大相徑庭（電子遊戲同樣如此）。實際上，現實生活中，人們不得不離開咖啡店，回去爲生計奔波。

Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one. 規則11：善待令你討厭的人。很有可能，你最後會爲其中之一工作。
