美國宣佈退出世界衛生組織
President Donald Trump has formally moved to withdraw the US from the World Health Organization (WHO).
美國總統唐納德·特朗普採取行動，正式宣佈美國退出世界衛生組織。The president had made his intentions clear in late May. Despite calls from the EU and others, he said he would pull out of the UN agency and redirect funds elsewhere.
特朗普總統在5月下旬就明確表示了他的意圖。他不顧歐盟和其他國家的呼籲，表示美國將撤出這個聯合國機構，並將資金投入到其他機構。He has now notified the UN and Congress of his intentions, although the process could take at least a year.

Stephane Dujarric, spokesman for the UN secretary-general, confirmed the US had notified it of its withdrawal, effective as of 6 July 2021.

The US is the global health agency's largest single contributor, providing more than $400m in 2019, around 15% of its total budget.
