英語中哪些成分可以構成狀語
英語語法中的狀語，描述謂語動作的時間、地點、方式、程度、工具、原因、目的、條件等內容。
狀語的構成
能作狀語的成分主要有：時間副詞(也稱作時間名詞)、副詞(詞組)、介詞詞組、(動詞)不定式、動名詞(詞組)，也稱-ing式、過去分詞(詞組)、狀語從句、形容詞(詞組)、獨立結構、慣用的特殊詞組。
今天講以下三種狀語，即：過去分詞(詞組)、狀語從句、形容詞(詞組)
1.過去分詞(詞組)作狀語
Given one more chance, Hillary Clinton will win presidency.
再給一個機會，希拉里·克林頓就會贏得總統職位。
Taken out of the context, the can’t be defined.
離開上下文，這個單詞就無法確定詞義。
My boss came back, as tired as a dog.
老闆回來了，累成狗了。
練習題(仿照造句)：
1.再給一碗飯，他就有5碗了。
2.漆成紅色後，門更好看了。
2.狀語從句作狀語
When I was young, I liked to ride bike.
當我很小的時候，我喜歡騎自行車。
One should stand up where he falls down.
一個應該在哪裏摔倒就在哪裏站起來.
If you don’t like working in the company, you may go to the counterpart any time.
如果你不喜歡在這家公司裏工作，隨時可以去同行的公司。
Take the umbrella with you in case it should rain.
把雨傘帶上，以防下雨。
You’d better not talk too much while you are eating.
吃東西時，最好別講太多的話。

1.當他是一個小孩時，他喜歡吃雞肉。
2.你應該在你摔倒的地方站起來。
3.形容詞(詞組)作狀語
The old man sat inthe chair, motionless and speechless.
老男人坐在椅子上，一動不動，一言不發。
Strange enough, he didn’t pass GRE.
說也奇怪，他沒有通過GRE考試。
They raised their hands high, anxious to be chosen.
他們把手舉得好高，巴不得被選中。
John came back happy.
約翰心情愉快地回來了。
練習題(仿照造句)：
1.老奶奶站在客廳中間，一動不動，一言不發。
2.太奇怪了，他們跑不快。

參考譯文：

謂語：iswithin reach of an overwhelming majority in parliament
狀語從句：after exit polls showed it topping the poll with 32% in the first roundon Sunday
第二個句子的謂語：with a low voter turnout(其中but是連接詞，表明第二個句子，並表示轉折)
