職場術語：endorsement

英文中，有些詞看似簡單，但其實用處卻非常大。

比如 endorse，我們默認的意思是“贊同、支持”，舉例來說：

I wholeheartedly endorse his remarks. 
我真誠地贊同他的話。

That adds up to an endorsement of the status quo.
那算是對現狀的贊同。

但其實，在商務英語中，它還有另一層含義，叫“背書”

這個背書可不是像小學生一樣背誦書本，而是有兩層意思。

1）支票的背書，是指 簽署、批准支票

The payee of the cheque must endorse the cheque. 
領款人必須在支票上背書。

2）代言，請名人來做宣傳

比如某某產品找明星代言，就是請明星來背書，刺激消費者信任感，所以英文裏有這樣的說法：
