《摩登家庭》S01E24：“糾結”用英語怎麼說？

這一大家子人要拍全家福咯，結果每個人“滿身泥漿”，卻又是滿臉笑容，這是爲什麼呢？

1. go nuts

口語裏一般說的是go nuts，這裏說get nuts是菲爾指了指自己上衣裏的堅果。

go nuts的意思是大發雷霆，暴跳如雷。

My sister will go nuts when she finds out I crashed her car.

要是我姐姐發現我弄壞了她的車，她會氣得發瘋的。

2. stand out

stand out第一個意思是“顯眼，突出”，因爲菲爾是全家唯一一個沒穿白褲子的人，所以這裏克萊爾說他stand out。這個短語還形容“出衆”。

We had lots of good applicants for the job, but one stood out from the rest.

我們這個職位有很多不錯的申請者，但有一個人相當出衆。

3. be uptight with 

▲克萊爾和米奇爾打打鬧鬧爭執不下。

uptight的意思是“緊張的；焦慮不安的”，通常和about搭配，形容多……感到心情焦躁。

Don't get uptight about the exam - just do your best.

對待考試不要太緊張——盡力而爲吧。

★bunch可以表示“串；束；扎”，比如一束花就是a bunch of flowers；可以形容“一幫人”，一幫笨蛋就是a bunch of jerks。
