指示代詞that引導的同位語從及定從的區別

that引導同位語從句時，同位語從句的先行詞多爲抽象名詞，如fact，news，hope，question，report，idea，rumour等，而此時從句的連詞that只起連接作用，對抽象名詞進行解釋和說明。that 在從句中不作任何成分，但不能省略。如：
Many young people hold the idea that certificates and work experience help a lot in their job hunting.
許多年輕人有這樣一個理念，證書和工作經歷對他們的求職作用很大。
The news that his heath is failing made us sad.
他健康狀況不佳的消息使我們很難過。
The question who should do the work requires consideration.
誰該幹這項工作的問題需要考慮。
There is much chance that Bill will recover from his injury in time for the race.
有很大的機會比利的傷勢可以恢復並且按時參加比賽

that 引導同位語從句和定語從句的區別
1）從句法角度來看，引導同位語從句的連詞that只起連接作用，在從句中不作任何成分，但不可以省略；而引導定語從句的關係代詞that除了連接主句和從句之外，在從句中作一定成分，有時可省略。
Along with the letter was his promise that he would visit me this coming Christmas.
隨信一起來的是他的承諾，他說會在即將到來的聖誕節來看我。（同位語從句中的that不做任何成分）
The suggestion (that) he made at the meeting was very right.
他在會議上給出的建議是正確的。（此定語從句中的that在從句中作賓語，可以省略）
2）從語義角度來看，同位語從句that引導的從句在句中解釋說明前面的名詞，而定語從句中that引導的從句則是起到修飾限定先行詞的作用。
The news that we are having a holiday tomorrow is not true.
明天放假的消息不實。（that引導的從句說明news的內容）
He lost his money that had been saved for a long time.
他丟了存了很久的錢。（that引導的定語從句，修飾限定先行詞money）
