I had the strangerest email in my inbox thus morning. I read it 3 times because it didn't make sense at first. It because it didn't make sense at first. It was a notice from my boss saying that my request to be transferred to our Paris office had been approved to our Paris office had been approved and I needed to clear up All my projects by the end of the day.

It said I would be leaving tomorrow morning. All the details were there. It had my new job description, my new address, the flight number and even my new salary, which was more than TWICE what I am making now!

I couldn't believe it ecause I never even applied for a transfer. One time I joked about how great it would be to speng a year in our Paris office, but I never considered it seriously.

After about 5 minutes I realized that it was an April Fool's joke on me. The whole office was watching me as I read the email. I'm not woving to Paris. I guess they play a trick on the new employee every April first.

Too bad. A year in Paris would have been fabulous!
