微軟下一代瀏覽器IE10首次現身

Microsoft has begun to show users and developers how the next generation of its web browser, Internet Explorer, will change the way consumers experience the net. Coming just a month after IE9 was officially released, the company claims IE10 will offer further hardware acceleration and build on the compatibility and web fidelity trends Microsoft established in IE9.

距官方發佈IE9纔剛過去一個月，微軟已經開始向用戶和程序開發者們展示下一代IE瀏覽器將如何改變客戶的上網體驗了。微軟稱，IE10瀏覽器將提供更高效的硬件提速，並且在IE9的高兼容性和高保真度基礎上更上一層樓。

The rapid timetable for the development of the new version of one of Microsoft’s most popular products emphasises the increasing importance of web browsers to major companies. Google has continued a vigorous advertising campaign for its Chrome browser, while Firefox has alsotrumpeteda healthy number of downloads in the wake of its launch on 22 March. More than 7 million people sought out the software in its first 24 hours of release.

IE瀏覽器是微軟最受歡迎的產品之一。新版本如此迅捷的開發速度顯示，對各家大公司來說瀏覽器產品都有着日益增加的重要性。谷歌一直在強力推廣他們的Chrome瀏覽器。而火狐在Firefox4瀏覽器3月22日投放市場之後，也一直在爲下載量沾沾自喜：在發佈之後24小時內就有七百萬人搜索下載該軟件。

Writing on the Microsoft IEBlog, Dean Hachamovitch, the company’s Corporate Vice President for Internet Explorer, said that “Ultimately, the point is advancing the interoperable Web and making the Web better. Our focus has been on enabling the same markup by delivering native HTML5 to Windows with full hardware acceleration and working closely with the standards bodies and the community.”
