匈牙利冷知識：歐洲最古老的國家之一

中學歷史課本讓我們熟悉了“奧匈帝國”這個名詞，而匈牙利曾經就是這個大帝國的核心部分。

匈牙利是歐洲最古老的幾個國家之一，比英法德都要古老，這讓它成了全球很多人的旅遊目的地，其中的一個熱門去向當然就是首都——布達佩斯 Budapest

Hungary is one of the oldest countries in Europe. It was founded in A.D. 896, before France, Germany, or England. Budapest, the capital of Hungary, has existed as a settlement from the Bronze and Iron Age, but it didn’t become Budapest until 1873 when three separate cities, Pest, Buda, and Óbuda (Old Buda) were combined to make one city. Budapest is nicknamed “City of Baths.”

匈牙利是歐洲最古老的國家之一。它建於公元896年，比法國、德國和英國都要早。匈牙利的首都布達佩斯從青銅器和鐵器時代就已經存在了，但直到1873年佩斯、布達和奧布達（舊布達）這三個獨立的城市合併爲一個城市後才成爲布達佩斯。布達佩斯的綽號是“澡堂之城”。
