One evening Rooster flew up into a tree to sleep. He fluffed his feathers and flapped his wings three times. But just before he tuched his head under his wing. Rooster spotted a flash of red. It was moving behind the barn. He looded again and saw Fox standing beneath the tree.

"That's right," said Fox. "From now on, we are all going to be friends. No more fighting, no more need to be afraid. We can all live together happily. Isn't that wonderful?" "Hmmm. That is great news, fox."

"Wait!" cried Rooster."Where are you going? The dogs are our friends now. Don't you want to give them a big hug, too?"

"No, thanks," Fox called back."Maybe they haven't heard the good newsyet." And off he ran across the pasture without a glance behind him.

Rooster chuckled. "A big hug indeed!" he said to himself."I wouldn't trust Fox as far as I could throw the farmer's tractor." Then he tucked his head under his wing and went go sleep.

Manager Beck
BECK is the group manager of Pets and Aquatics(水上運動) , in charge of both departments of aquatics and pets of Evergreen garden centre. Everyday he works together with his staffs, he is a manager but did all the jobs what should to do by the other staff. What he saw? What he found? What he thought out? Especially some staff’s left half job. His short legs are moving so fast it looked seemingly just liked he was trotting(小跑) on tip toes.
His hard work and good control, with good team cooperation made the fish house and pets zone kept in a very good order, every shelves looked like an military review formation "eyes right", everything looked so tidy. Some customers have said the fish house of Evergreen garden centre is the best one in England and like come to buy fish from us.
I have learnt so much from BECK, especially about management. He not only encourages the team members but also encourages the customers.
"For business we should find out customer’s merits and learn from them. As a Chinesebyword (諺語) : customers are 'hidden dragon and crouched tiger.'" One time he told me like that.
BECK has an open mind, which easily to receive the new knowledge, he stood out as an international model manager too. Under modern condition, "the human is a big family and the globe is a small village", everybody should be like that he said once.
With BECK everything were excellent, including his head which is like an egg, thoroughly bare with no hair growing. As a Chinese saying: "A clever head without hair." I knew he is a wise-man and good manager that first from his egg head(書呆子，知識分子) .
After Evergreen took over the garden centre from Well, they made so many changes, such as the painting, ceiling, carpets, lights and so on, it really looked very more nice, made the garden centre much better than before, when BECK is working under the lights, his bare head is more bright than before too, when his head stoops(彎腰) and rises during his working, it is like an electric torch even a searchlight(探照燈) .
"The Garden Centre has changed, BECK’s head changed too. Looking the Garden centre is more bright than before just as BECK’s head does." Somebody said jokingly.
