MK,Jimmy Choo將停用皮毛,保護環境
Michael Kors have announced that they will no longer use animal fur in their products.
邁克高仕（Michael Kors，美國輕奢設計師品牌）宣佈他們在產品中將不再使用動物皮毛。The new policy will also apply to Jimmy Choo, which Michael Kors Holdings acquired in July for a multimillion pound deal.
這項新政策也將適用於周仰傑品牌（Jimmy Choo,女士鞋包品牌），邁克高仕公司曾於七月份以數百萬英鎊收購了該品牌。The initiative comes just a few months after Gucci announced that they would also abolish fur from their products.
先前古馳也宣佈他們的產品將不再使用皮毛，而就在幾個月之後邁克高仕也宣佈了這項計劃。
Kors decided to go fur-free after executive chief officer John Idol had a meeting with Dan Matthews of PETA.
在邁克高仕的首席執行官約翰·伊多爾與“善待動物組織”的丹·馬修會談過之後，邁克高仕就決定不再使用皮毛。The US luxury label has since revealed that any fur products currently in production will be phased out by December 2018 and that they will introduce a new faux alternative in their forthcoming collections.
之後該美國奢侈品牌就表示，到2018年12月他們目前正在生產的所有皮毛產品將逐步淘汰，而且他們將在新產品中引入一種新的人造替代材料。“This decision marks a new chapter as our company continues to evolve its use of innovative materials,” explained Idol.

先前邁克高仕一直是動物權利活動家們的目標。In June, a group of PETA demonstrators disrupted a live interview with the American designer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York by chanting “Michael Kors has blood on his hands”.

It is reported that the brand could showcase their new faux fur alternatives as early as February 2018, where the designer will present his autumn/winter 2018 collection at New York Fashion Week.

邁克高仕的這項公告受到了動物權利活動家們的歡迎。Wayne Pacelle, president of The Humane Society of the United States , noted: "With the advances in faux fur and the introduction of other innovative materials, it’s becoming clear that there is simply no reason to continue using a product that causes so much pain and suffering.
