Police in New York City are searching for a man and woman who lost an engagement ring down a drain during a proposal.
The couple's engagement was caught on camera after the man got down on one knee in Times Square on Friday evening.
星期五晚上，這名男子在時代廣場單膝跪地求婚的現場被攝像機抓拍到。According to the New York City Police Department (NYPD), the woman said yes.
據紐約市警察局稱，被求婚的女生答應了這個求婚。
But her partner became so excited at her response he dropped the engagement ring straight down a drain.
但她的男朋友對她的反應過於興奮，導致他讓訂婚戒指直接掉到了排水管道里。The man frantically lay on the ground and peered into the grate while his partner looked on in concern, but they were unable to retrieve the ring.
那個男人火急火燎地趴在地上，朝着排水溝的格柵裏面看，而身邊的女朋友一臉擔心得看着他，但是最終他們沒有取回戒指。Police officers said that it fell around 2.4m down the grate.
警察說它掉在排水管下方約2.4米處。The ring was later retrieved and cleaned by the NYPD but the would-be bride and groom left without passing on their names or their contact details.
這個戒指後來被紐約警察局取回並清理，但之前這對訂婚了的情侶在沒有留下姓名或聯繫方式的情況下離開了。Pictures of the ring and the couple have been released by the police force, which has turned to the public for help.
警察公佈了戒指和這對夫婦的照片來尋求公衆的幫助。"WANTED for dropping his fiancee's ring," the NYPD joked in a post, which went on to appeal for information about the couple.
