A new book Apollo: Through The Eyes Of The Astronauts marks the 40th anniversary of the Apollo moon landings.

Michael Collins took this picture of the Eagle ascending with Armstrong and Aldrin on board. 'For the first time, in one frame, appeared three billion earthlings, two explorers, and one moon,' Collins said. 'The photographer, of course, was discreetly out of view.'
