讓步狀語從句的引導詞

讓步狀語從句的引導詞主要有：as，though，Although，even if，no matter+wh等等。一般翻譯爲“儘管……”或“即使……”，就是我們日常生活中用的“退一步說…”的感覺。

1、though, although表示“雖然，縱然”之意。

這兩個連詞意思大致相同，在一般情況下可以互換使用，不能與but連用。

例句： 

Although/Though he was worn out, he kept on working. 

雖然他已經精疲力竭了，但仍然繼續工作。

2、as, though表示“雖然……但是”，“縱使……”之意。

as引導的讓步狀語從句必須以部分倒裝的形式出現，被倒裝的部分可以是表語、狀語或動詞原形，though間或也用於這樣的結構中，但although不可以這樣用。

例句：

Hard as/ though he works, he makes little progress. 

儘管他學習很努力，但幾乎沒取得什麼進步。

Child as/though he was, he knew what was the right thing to do.

雖然他是一個孩子，但他知道該做什麼。

3、even if, even though 表示“即使……”，“縱使……”之意。

這兩個複合連詞的意思基本相同。它們常可互換使用，但意義有細微差別。even if引導的讓步從句含有強烈的假定性，而even though引導讓步狀語從句時，是以從句的內容爲先決條件的，也就是說，說話人肯定了從句的事實。

例句：

We’ll make a trip even if the weather is bad. 

即使天氣不好，我們也要作一次旅行。

I will marry him even my father opposes to this marriage. 

我要嫁給他，即使我爸反對我們的婚姻。

4、“while”引導讓步狀語從句用在句首，一般意爲“儘管”，引導讓步狀語從句。

例句：

While he was tired, he went on working.

雖然他累了，但他還是繼續工作。

While I understand what you say, I can’t agree with you.

雖然我理解你的意思，但我還是不同意。

3.“No matter wh-”引導讓步狀語從句

在英語中，我們可以用no+matter+what, who, when, where, how或者whatever, whoever, whenever, wherever, however 來引導讓步狀語從句，表示“無論”。請注意，這幾個連詞除了however之外，一般都可以單獨使用，而however後面通常要接形容詞或副詞，不單獨使用。

例句：

No matter who you are, you have to obey the orders and there is no exception.

無論你是誰，你都必須服從命令，沒有特例。

No matter how hard this work is, I will not give up until succeed.

無論有多難，我都不會放棄直到成功。

No matter which university you go to, you have to study hard as each university is unique.

無論你去上哪所大學，你都必須努力學習，因爲每所大學都是獨特的。

He wanted to take no risks, however small.

他多小的風險也不想冒。
