On a scale of 1 to 10: is a way for someone to understand how extreme something is.
1到10打個分，是用來讓別人理解事情的嚴重程度。

If you are dressing up for a party over the weekend, and you want to ask your friend for advice, you could say: "On a scale of 1 to 10, how cute is this outfit?"
如果你在爲週末的一個派對精心打扮，你想尋求朋友的意見，你會說“1到10打個分，這套衣服有多好看”。

A doctor asks you how painful something is "on a scale of 1 to 10", it means 1 is not very painful at all, while 10 means you are in extreme pain.
醫生讓你爲疼痛1到10打分，是說1是一點也不疼，10是疼痛難忍。

那麼我們如何回答，如何打分呢？

I’d say around 6. It’s hard to move around.
大概6分左右。疼得很難走動。

If you ask a friend: "On a scale of 1 to 10, how cute is this outfit?"

Your friend might reply back with, "I'd say a 7. It will look better if you add some accessories."
