第304期:每個人都有不走運的時候,來聽"特殊的911來電"

雖然我們大多數人都很幸運，但是不得不承認的是，在這個世界上，暴力侵害卻是屢見不鮮的。不管是家暴還是來自他人的暴力威脅，我們一定要學會保護好自己，遠離傷害。今天這個故事（摘自BuzzFeed) 我們就會看到，當一個女孩遇到來自於男友的暴力威脅時，她是如何巧妙的求助的。我們需要先來學習幾個單詞：

I had a call that started out pretty dumb, but was actually pretty serious:
"911, where is you emergency?"
"123 Main St."
"Ok, what's going on there?"
"I'd like to order a pizza for delivery." (oh great, another prank call).
"Ma'am, you've reached 911"
"Yeah, I know. Can I have a large with half pepperoni, half mushroom and peppers?"
"Ummm…. I'm sorry, you know you've called 911 right?"
"Yeah, do you know how long it will be?"
"Ok, Ma'am, is everything ok over there? do you have an emergency?"
"Yes, I do."
" you can't talk about it because there's someone in the room with you?" (moment of realization)
"Yes, that's correct. Do you know how long it will be?"
"I have an officer about a mile from your location. Are there any weapons in your house?"
"Nope."
"Can you stay on the phone with me?"
"Nope. See you soon, thanks"
As we dispatch the call, I check the history at the address, and see there are multiple previous domestic violence calls. The officer arrives and finds a couple, female was kind of banged up, and the boyfriend was drunk. Officer arrests him after she explains that the boyfriend had been beating her for a while. I thought she was pretty clever to use that trick. Definitely one of the most memorable calls.

“而且你不能說，因爲房間裏有人和你在一起？”（那刻我終於意識到了）
“是的，沒錯。你知道多久能做好嗎？”
“我有一名警官離你的位置大約一英里。你家裏有武器嗎？”
“不。”
“你能和我一起打電話嗎？”
“不。待會見，謝謝
在我們撥打電話時，我查看了通話歷史的地址，發現之前有很多因爲家暴打來的電話。警官到達後，發現一對夫婦，女的有些撞傷，而她的男朋友喝醉了。在她解釋道她男友已經毆打她一段時間後，警官逮捕了他。我認爲她用那一招很聰明。絕對是最難忘的電話之一。

故事聽完了，這個女孩用怎樣的方式進行報警的呢？你有聽懂嗎？其實我想說的是，既然這個男友多次進行家暴，爲什麼不直接分手？縱然這個報警電話打的精彩絕倫，但是要從源頭上保護自己，鼓起勇氣離開他不就行了嗎？
