英語固定用法：afford to do sth

Afford vt. 給予，提供；買得起 n. (Afford)人名；(英)阿福德
afford是動詞,意爲“買得起,擔負得起”rd後面常跟帶to的動詞不定式.
afford通常與can,could,be able to連用,尤用於否定句或疑問句中.
afford sb.=afford .例如：
1. They couldn’t afford $50 for a ticket.
他們拿不出50美元買一張票.
2. Can we afford a new car?
