1. run into sb./someone=meet someone by chance偶遇

2. run it to earth: 原意“趕進洞裏”，指搜查，追查
比喻刨根問底或追本溯源，與漢語俗語“打破沙鍋問到底”相似。出自英國的狩獵故事。
