BEIJING - Beijing's first road for automatic driving testing will be designed in the city's southeastern Yizhuang economic development area, the municipal traffic authority said.

北京消息，北京市交通委表示，北京首条自动驾驶测试路将落地位于东南部的亦庄经济技术开发区。

automatic driving是自动驾驶。
北京市交通委相关负责人介绍，北京将对道路的信号（signal）、标志（sign）、标线（road marking）等进行改造（transform），让无人驾驶车辆（autonomous vehicles）可以识别（identify）。
去年12月，北京市交通委发布自动驾驶路测（road testing for automatic driving）新规，明确规定所选择的测试道路将包括城市主干道（main routes）、支路（branch routes）、红绿灯路口（traffic light intersections）等多种交通场景。
上路（hit the road）测试前，测试车辆必须先通过封闭测试场（indoor testing）内的考核。
测试车辆在进行道路测试过程中发生交通事故（accident），测试驾驶员（test driver）承担相应法律责任（bear legal liability）。
目前，北京已基本实现自动驾驶全产业链（complete industrial chain）聚集,成为全国自动驾驶技术（automatic driving technology）、人才、企业的聚集地（hub）。自动驾驶车辆道路测试将推动（facilitate）自动驾驶从研发（research development，简称R&D）落地到规模化应用（application）。
