校園口語第127課:關税大戰

2011年10月28日週三，美國七家太陽能產品製造商請求奧巴馬政府對中國太陽能進口產品徵收超過100%的關税，理由是這些產品有不正當削價競爭行為，並且破壞美國的就業機會。　
來看一則China Daily英文報道：
On Wednesday, seven US solar manufacturers asked the Obama administration to impose duties of more than 100 percent on Chinese imports, which they said were unfairly undercutting prices and destroying jobs in the US.
週三，美國七家太陽能產品製造商請求奧巴馬政府對中國太陽能進口產品徵收超過100%的關税，理由是這些產品存在不正當削價競爭行為，並且破壞美國的就業機會。

報道中的"impose duties"即 “徵收關税”的意思。這裏的“關税”是我們常用的"duty"，除此之外，一般還可以用"tariff"，"custom"，"impost"等詞來表達“關税”的意思。
