句型一:

描述對象 +趨勢動詞+副詞

例句：The sales figure rose slightly from 100m(million) to 120m during the period from 1980 to 2000.

句型二:

There was a+形容詞+趨勢名詞+in (描述對象)

例句：There was a slight rise from 100m to 120m in/ in terms of the sales figure between 1980 and 2000.

句型三：

時間+saw/ experienced/witnessed a+形容詞+趨勢名詞

例句：The period from 1980 to 2000 witnessed / saw a slight rise from 100m to 120m in the sales figure.

句型四:

A+形容詞+趨勢名詞+took place/ occurred.

例句：A slight rise from 100m to 120m took place/occurred between 1980 and 2000.

句型五:

X (描述對象) + showed/ took +an upward/ downward trend.

例句:The sales figure showed/ took an upward trend from 100m to 120m during the first two decades (1980-2000).

五種銜接方式

1)現在分詞和過去分詞作狀語，如Starting at, beginning from，followed by等

2)Before, after+句子/短語 表示時間點

3)並列與轉折連詞：but, however, and then, in addition

4)非限定性定語從句，如when…

5)表示時間的副詞：after this, following this period, thereafter
