　　記一次英語演講比賽

Last week, I took part in an English speech contest which was held by our teachers. There weretwelve students in the final contest. I was one of them. Fifteen minutes beforemy turn, I picked my topic and prepared for it. I wrote down the outlines and organized what I was going to say. However, when I stood in front of all judges and students, I was extremely nervous. My mind was totally empty. Then I took adeep breath to relax myself and started my speech. The result was not as good as I expected, but I preferred to regard it as a challenge to myself, whose process was the most important for me. I can learn a lot from this contest. I amsure I will be better next time.

上週，我參加了學校老師舉行的一次英語演講比賽。總共有十二位同學進入決賽，我是其中之一。輪到我的前十五分鐘，我選好我的主題並做好準備。我寫下大綱並組織好要說的內容。但是，當我站在評委和同學們面前的時候，我就很緊張，頭腦一片空白。於是我深呼吸使自己放鬆然後開始演講。雖然結果不像我想象中的那麼好，但是我寧願把它當做一次對自己的挑戰，過程對我來說纔是最重要的。我能夠從這次比賽中學到很多，我相信下次我一定能夠做得更好的。

I really like the sea. Seeing it makes me relaxed and peaceful. My home is near the see and I love walking on the beach. Often, after dinner, I like going to the beach with my parents or friends. After sunset, the sea becomes so different from daytime. The see breeze makes me comfortable. Walking without shoes feels great, because the sand is so soft. Sometimes, we will play games on the beach or make some sand sculptures. It's really funny. Besides, there are many people on the beach, and we often talk to them or play with them. Therefore, it's a good chance to make new friends there.

Before I went to school, I felt so excited, because I was so curious about the campus life. Now I have been in middle school, after seven years' study, I feel the bitter and happiness. The bitter is that there are always exams, sometimes I can't do well. Every time when I get the low mark, I will be afraid of disappointing my parents. The happy thing is that I make many friends here. We play andstudy together. They are just like the brothers and sisters to me. This is the process of growing up, which mix pain and happiness. I am so lucky to have these friends in my life, they mean so much to me.

在我上學前，我很興奮，因爲對校園生活很好奇。如今我已經讀初中了，經過了七年的學習，我體會到了苦和樂。苦的是經常會有考試，有時候我考不好。每次我拿到低分的時候，我會擔心讓父母失望。高興的是在這裏我交到了很多朋友。我們一起玩耍和學習。他們就像是我的兄弟和姐妹。這就是成長的過程，參雜着痛苦和快樂。我很幸運，這些朋友出現在我的生命中，他們對我來說很重要。
