小時候過端午節我足足能提前興奮上一週,因爲可以吃上香噴噴的糉子了,那個時候生活比較單調,也很苦,不是過節平常是什麼也吃不到的。說起糉子,它不僅好吃,最主要的是在包糉子的過程中,體現着樂趣。每年端午一到,母親在頭一天晚上跑上一盆糯米,第二天早上便是我和母親一起包,綠綠的糉葉里加上糯米和大棗,包成三棱形的糉子,包好後放在大鍋裏足足煮上3、4個鐘頭,之後母親把糉子泡在備好的兩水桶內,涼了以後細細地撥開竹葉,咬上一口白嫩的糯米,紫紅的大棗就露出頭來,蘸白糖再吃,那時吃起來是那麼的香甜可口,耐人回味。

端午節前夕,家家把在山上採的艾蒿插在門上,說是爲了避邪,我們小孩只是效仿着做,不懂其中的含義。
